Suckling, the American critic, values the new wine from Fincas Sobreño as exceptional.
There could be no better debut for Finca Sobreño Rosado 2022 than the 90 points awarded by the American critic James Suckling in his latest tasting. This recognition comes right after the wine's market release, making it an indicator of the quality of Bodegas Sobreño's new wine, as Suckling only values wines above 90 points that he considers exceptional. In his recent ratings, Suckling also praised Finca Sobreño Selección Especial 2019 with 91 points.
Finca Sobreño Rosado is Bodegas Sobreño's new venture, made, like all its wines, with selected Tinta de Toro grapes. The result is a fresh and flavorful wine with aromas of ripe fruits and a background of toasted, fresh, and pleasant notes contributed by its barrel aging.
In addition to this recognition, the new wine from Bodegas Sobreño has been awarded in other international competitions, where it has achieved Gold Medals: Mundus Vini Spring Tasting (Germany), National Wine Competition Vinespaña, Vinalies (France), Concours Mondial de Bruxelles Rosé Session, and Challenge International du Vin (France). These accolades ensure that the wine from the Toro Winery enters the market with strong credentials.
