Finca Sobreño Ecológico receives the highest award of Ecoracimo 2021
The contest organised by the Asociación Valor Ecológico Ecovalia is a pioneer in its sector and every year awards the best organic wines in the world.
The wine from Bodegas Sobreño has received the Special Prize Diputación de Córdoba in an edition that has received more than 200 samples.

Bodegas Sobreño faces the summer season with another important recognition for one of its wines: Finca Sobreño Ecológico 2020, which has received the Premio Especial Diputación de Córdoba, the highest award in the Ecoracimo 2021 competition, which every year rewards the best organic wines in the world.
The competition, organised by the Ecovalia Ecological Value Association, stands out for the prestige of its tasting panel, which, together with the extraordinary quality of its samples, makes it a benchmark in the sector. In the 22nd edition of Ecoracimo held on 12 June at the Castillo del Gran Montilla in Cordoba, a jury of experts in sensory analysis of wines and national and international tasters assessed more than 200 samples from 11 autonomous regions.
The main objective of the competition is to support the development of organic production, promoting and enhancing the value of organic wines, boosting their development and at the same time promoting knowledge of the sector. Ecovalia's secretary general, Diego Granado, stressed that "after a complicated period, the wine and organic sectors are making a strong comeback". In fact, this year two other categories have been added to wine: aromatised drinks and vinegars, thus extending recognition and support to other organic products.
Finca Sobreño Ecológico repeats on the podium this year and consolidates its quality among organic wines, as last year it was also awarded a 'Gran Oro'. In addition, the wine of Bodegas Sobreño has been highlighted in the 'Guía Gourmets 2020' with 95 points, and with 91 points from the prestigious American critic James Suckling, among other national and international recognitions.
Like all Bodegas Sobreño wines, Finca Sobreño Ecológico is made from 100% Tinta de Toro grapes. This wine is aged for four months in American oak barrels of less than 4 years old. The result is a fresh wine, full of aromas, round and elegant.

The winery in Toro, which has 80 hectares of its own vineyards, takes great care over the entire vegetative cycle of the vines to obtain the best grapes, which are then selected in search of the characteristics that stand out in each of its wines: Finca Sobreño Roble, Finca Sobreño Ecológico, Finca Sobreño Crianza, Finca Sobreño Reserva and Finca Sobreño Ildefonso.
Its commitment to the environment and quality, always maintaining the tradition of grape growing and adapting to new technologies, have made Bodegas Sobreño one of the most recognised brands in Toro, exporting 75% of its wines to 25 countries.
Bodegas Sobreño is a family winery in the D.O. Toro that has been making great wines since 1999 from the Tinta de Toro grape variety for demanding, high quality markets.
